As a member of EDI Team, you will play an integral role in transitioning client data from a manual input process into an automated, hands-free process.
In this position, you will assess clients' EDI needs and then create solutions that process their data in a predictable manner.
You will also work with other EDI team members as well as internal staff to ensure that the solutions you build are thoroughly tested and are in compliance with customs brokerage rules and regulations.
Job
Responsibilities:
Successfully execute client EDI onboarding projects by designing, testing and applying electronic data interchange between Deringer and its clients while ensuring efficiency and security.
Work with EDI Coordinator or EDI Manager to obtain all pertinent data and information for the onboard project from the client.
Initiate project kick-off meeting with client and internal staff.
Maintain regular cadence with client for duration of the project.
Perform gap analysis of client data and information.
Create and design EDI files with client shipment and/or parts information using standardized data sets and templates.
Coordinate client communication setup with EDI support staff.
Provide proper testing of EDI files.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with client and internal staff.
Coordinate client EDI deployment with client and internal staff.
Coordinate go-live monitoring of client EDI with client and internal staff.
Develop technical documentation and train users.
Provide analysis and support for internally developed products.
Review system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested changes to the application system are possible.
Analyze EDI process discrepancies and system failures.
Determine and perform corrective action.
Cross-train other team members in additional responsibilities.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Travel:
No travel is required for this position Pay Range:
The wage range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000; a final offer will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to geography, licenses, certifications, and years of experience in the field.
Education and
Experience:
Experience in a customs brokerage / logistics environment (including compliance, IT, operations or warehouse) is preferred.
LCB certification is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, supply chain management, or related field is preferred.
Three (3+) years of experience in software and/or database development is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with guidance.
Ability to analyze information and translate it into a comprehensible format.
Comfortable communicating with clientele.
Familiarity with EDI transaction sets preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
